Following this move, there will be a number of changes that have been put in place to make it easier for you to transact / interact with us:

  • Access to exam application forms – in the first instance, candidates should visit our website where you should be able to download the relevant forms
  • Application forms will also be made available in the selected bank branches that take fee deposits for our various exam services. These will be located together with our deposit slips
  • Payments will continue to be received via our selected bank branches
  • Deposit slips and application forms can be scanned and sent to us via email
  • Alternatively, you can drop this off at the gatehouse where it will be received and entered in a register
  • An email / sms will be sent to you within one working day acknowledging receipt of your document. Should you not receive this acknowledgement, please send an email to info@britishcouncil.org.mw.

English online:We offer three free websites to help you improve your English: LearnEnglish, LearnEnglishKids, and TeachingEnglish.
Newspapers: In partnership with the Guardian and Mkwaso Newspaper in Malawi you can read the articles and improve your English every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. To learn more about our plans for English language in Malawi please contact Patience Mahlalela .
Education & Society
Leadership for organisations: We offer customised training and interventions for organisations.  Examples of our work include culture change management, customer service culture management and change management. Education: We are committed to creating opportunities through education and provide information about studying in the UK .
Climate change in schools: Our climate change work supports young people to find practical ways to mitigate the effects of climate change and environmental damage. Through specially commissioned radio programmes we encourage millions of Malawi citizens to engage with climate change and environmental issues
Global School Partnerships: We support partnerships that promote global education through the curriculum. We provide support to teachers and grants to schools. Funding is available for visits between partner schools to help them develop curriculum projects together based on global themes.
Connecting Classrooms: Our school partnership programme that promotes interaction between schools in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK. By establishing ICT hubs we are able to further engage learners and teachers in collaborative activities with their counterparts.
Delphe: Development Partnerships in Higher Education enables higher education institutions to act as catalyst for poverty reduction and sustainable development.
International Health Links Funding Scheme: This project strengthens the capacity of health services in developing countries by creating links between hospitals in the UK and Malawi.
Governance projects: In partnership with UK and local Non-governmental Organisations we provide access to advice on women’s rights issues. In Dedza and Mangochi districts we have established two Rights Advice Cetres. In Dedza we are in the Red Cross Building, Box 350, Dedza and in Mangochi we are in the Post Office Building, P.O. Box 319, Mangochi.
Arts
The Selector: This international radio showcase enables us to strengthen the international profile of UK music, creativity and communicate the diversity of UK society. Presented by DJ Goldirocks the station showcases the most exciting tunes from the UK music scene. Check the website to listen online or tune in to Power FM 101 from 10:30am – 12:30
