The British Council administers exams on behalf of many UK universities and colleges, making distance learning possible around the world. HOW DO I REGISTER?

You need to register for your exam directly with the institution you are enrolled with.

It is your responsibility to contact the examination board for confirmation and to ensure that the regulations and exam papers arrive at the British Council in advance of the exam date.

Please contact us (yourself or the examination board) at least one month in advance so we can verify if we will be able to accommodate your exam on the required date. We will send you further information about the fees and the procedure to follow.

WHAT ARE THE FEES?

Our applicable fees are MUR 3000 for each paper. These fees cover the administration of your exams and for sending your scripts via courier to your institution. These fees would need to be settled at least two weeks prior to the exam start date. You will not be allowed to write the exam unless you have paid the fees.

HOW DO I PAY?

You can pay your test in four ways:

Pay in cash at our office
Pay by office cheque (i.e. bank guaranteed cheques) drawn to British Council
Pay by bank transfer (bank details will be given on request)
Pay by credit card at the counter
Where will I sit my exams?

Once agreed with the University on the exam dates and times, they will notify you directly of these. Once finalised, the exam venue will be confirmed and a location map provided upon registration.

What should I take to the exam?

When you come to sit for the exam, please bring a valid form of identification such as your national identity card or international passport. Please note that no phones or electronic devices will be allowed into the exam venue.

WHEN WILL I GET MY RESULTS?

Please note that the University will send your results directly to you.

If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.
