Business English Certificate (BEC)

What is it?
The Business English Certificate (BEC) from Cambridge ESOL has been created specifically for individual learners who wish to obtain a business-related English language qualification. By taking an internationally recognised business qualification like BEC, you can show that you have learned English to an appropriate standard and can use it in a professional context.

Who is it for?
In Mauritius, we conduct the Cambridge Business English (BEC) at Vantage level. BEC Vantage is set at Upper-Intermediate Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is aimed at people aged 18 years old or above who want to gain a Business English qualification and take their career to the next level.

When is the course?

The complete course lasts for 3 terms (i.e. 3 x 12 weeks).

The course is offered part time every Wednesday and Friday between 17:00 and 18:30, over 36 hours per term.

What are the course fees?
The course fee is MUR 7,800 per term payable at the start of each term.

Am I eligible?
In order to know if you are eligible for the BEC Vantage course, you will need to do a placement test. Our placement testing procedure takes one-hour and allows us to determine your level of English. The placement test is MUR 300 per person.

How can I register?
You can come for a placement test and register from 09 to 12 January 2013 between 10am to 4pm. For registration, you need to fill in the application form and make payment for one term.
