The British Council Nairobi has introduced a new test at A1 level: City & Guilds International ESOL A1 Diploma. This test is at A1 level and is recognised by the United Kingdom Border Authority as evidence of English ability for A1 spouse visa applications.

HOW DO I REGISTER?
Please contact or visit the British Council offices in Upperhill, Nairobi for advise on the next available test date.
When and where can I take my test?
The test is available once a month, and is subject to confirmation from the British Council office.
What are the test details?

There are two parts to the test:

Listening - Approximately 30 minutes.
Speaking - Approximately 20 minutes.
How and where do I pay?
The fee for this test will be Kes 12,000. Payment is by bank deposit at Standard Chartered Bank branches.
when will i receive my results?
Results will be available 8 – 12 weeks after you take the test.
where will i sit my exam?
Your exam will be held at the British Council offices in Upperhill, Nairobi.
