For information about taking a UK university exam with the British Council please read through the frequently asked questions below.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

You need to register for your exam directly with the institution you are enrolled with. Contact your institution and make them aware you would like to use British council as a venue for your examination. The date(s), time and venue of examinations will be communicated to you by your institution and should be confirmed with British Council to avoid confusion.

WHAT ARE THE FEES?
Some institutions pay for all administrative charges including courier costs. We invoice them at the end of the session and the candidate does not pay.
Other institutions require candidates to pay £65.00 per day’s paper. Candidates must pay this fee no later than a week before the exams.
HOW DO I PAY?
Purchase a bank draft at any reputable bank in Ghana payable to British Council.
Where will I sit my exams?
The venue is always the British Council, Ghana. However, please confirm this at least a week before the exams since uncontrollable circumstances can cause a change. Please always report at least 30 minutes before the exam start time.
What should I take to the exam?
You are required to show up with your valid school ID card and any other valid national photographic ID card i.e. passport, voter’s ID, driver’s license or NHIS card. Failure to show up with valid ID’s will call for an incident report being put on your script or total denial to writing of exams.
WHEN WILL I GET MY RESULTS?
Results are sent to candidates directly from their schools and through British Council. Please contact your school directly for results if it is long overdue.
NEED MORE ANSWERS?
