The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is the world's leading professional marketing organisation. Their site includes information on membership and qualifications. The site is primarily for current CIM members but also has many marketing resources, including case studies and reports on market trends. It has 55,000 members in 130 countries across the globe.

Qualifications
Introductory Certificate in Marketing
For anyone over the age of 17 wishing to gain the basic skills in marketing.

Professional Certificate in Marketing
For those who are in junior marketing positions, aspire to a career in marketing or those moving into marketing from other backgrounds. Many of those who enrol for this qualification are marketing assistants or personal assistants.

Professional Diploma in Marketing
For marketing professionals who are involved with managing the marketing process at an operational level. Also for those who are looking to build on knowledge gained at Certificate level and are planning for a role in marketing management.

Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing
For those who have already gained a significant level of knowledge or experience of marketing. The focus is on the strategic aspects of marketing management. This qualification is increasingly seen as a benchmark of competence at the highest level.

Resources
For members, the CIM 'Learning Zone' provides past papers, guides, tools and recommended reading to prepare for exams. Unfortunately, this section is only available to CIM members.

'What's New in Marketing' (WNIM) is a free online newsletter for marketing professionals and contains useful information for those studying for a CIM qualification.

'Shape the Agenda' offers quarterly papers, resources, forums and events that address the latest marketing topics and emerging ideas.

'Knowledge Hub' is one of the web's leading sources of marketing intelligence.

The site also gives you access to over 4,000 business journals (including 'Harvard Business Review' and 'Advertising Age'), case studies, market reports and profiles of the world's top 10,000 companies. Some of this information is free; some must be paid for. Some information can only be accessed by CIM Members.

Support for qualified professionals
The CIM website contains a professional development area, which includes information about careers, further training, qualifications, and the Chartered Marketer award.
