ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES IN ERITREA

Our Professional Development Centre has been open for 5 successful years and over 2000 satisfied Adult learners have taken quality English language courses with us.

We offer courses at all levels to help you improve your chances of success professionally and personally.  The range of courses for Adult Learners includes all levels from elementary to advanced General English.

How can I register?

All our students are supported by a sponsoring organisation. If you wish to study with us, your sponsor can contact us directly or you can obtain written support from them.

If you are a new student you will need to take a placement test before enrolling in one of our language courses. This involves a written test and a speaking assessment with one of our teachers. Following the test we will match your language needs and learning requirements to a suitable course and inform your sponsoring organisation.

In order to arrange a placement test please contact us. Placement testing is usually organised in the two weeks preceding the beginning of a course. For organisations sending a larger number of students, testing can be arranged at an agreed time outside the testing period.

How much will the course cost?
Our current English language course fee is 2,400 Nacfa.
How can I pay for my course?
Once we have confirmed your registration with your organisation or company, we issue an invoice. Payment can be made by cheque, cash or bank transfer. We will supply more details when your sponsor contacts us.
What courses can I take?
We offer adult general English courses ranging from beginner to advanced, tailor made English language courses designed to meet the precise needs of an organisation and its staff and management and communication skills workshops.
When can I take a course?

We will be registering for our next adult general English classes in September and the courses are scheduled to start week beginning 14 September 2009.

Our language courses run from Monday to Friday. Courses are at the following times: 1700 to 1830 and 1845 to 2015.

We also run a programme of two and three day management and communication skills workshops on topics such as Customer Care, Report Writing and Leading Development Projects. Please contact us to for the current programme.

Note that courses may not run, depending on demand.

What are the Course times?

Our Teaching Centre operates Monday to Saturday working week. While class times may vary from term to term, according to demand and teacher availability, courses are currently being offered on the following days and at the following times:

Adult General English Elementary level Monday ,Wednesday & Friday, 1700 – 1830 or Tuesday ,Thursday & Friday 1845 - 2015,
Adult General English pre-intermediate level Tuesday ,Wednesday & Friday 1700 - 1830 or Monday Tuesday & Thursday 1845 – 2015.
Adult General English intermediate level Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 1700 – 1830 Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 1845 - 2015
Adult General English upper-intermediate level Monday ,Wednesday & Friday 1700 - 1830 or Tuesday ,Wednesday & Friday 1845 - 2015

Who are our teachers?

The British Council teaching team are all highly qualified and have many years of experience between them. The majority have studied for Master’s degrees in teaching English in the UK or USA.

We are able to deliver management skills courses in English, Tigrinya or a blend of both according to client need.
