The IELTS test has a very special style and structure, and examiners expect specific styles of responses to the questions. It is therefore vital that you are well-prepared for this test.

We will confirm your test date as soon as we get your application form. If the date you wish to take the test is full, we shall give you the next available test date and confirm to you by e-mail or phone.
General information about the test will be sent to you by e-mail. Because we may have to conduct the orals on a different day, we will notify you by e-mail at least one week before the date. By this time, individual time tables will be available for collection from the British Council Office in Yaoundé.

In the event that you do not receive the notification, please contact our office.

			Proof of your identity which is the same as the identity information you provided on your application form. It must contain a number, a signature, a date of birth and a photograph.
			All non-Cameroonians must bring their passports.
			The bank deposit slip, or British Council issued receipt, showing proof of your payment.

Please note: If you do not have the correct identity document you will not be able to take the test. Make sure you arrive on time so that you have enough time to get comfortable.

Candidates are expected to collect their results from the British Council office (Douala or Yaoundé) where they registered. Results are available for collection 13 days after the main test date. You must collect your Test Report Form in person along with a form of identification. In the event that a different person must collect your results, please provide us with a signed authorisation note.

Unfortunately results cannot be given over the phone, by fax or email, and we are only allowed to give ONE certificate to each student.

In addition to the certificate given to the candidate, candidates can request on their application forms (Section 24), that up to 5 copies of the results be sent to receiving institutions overseas. Receiving institutions are international academic institutions or employers. Some institutions are registered to view candidate results online; here is a list of registered institutions. Unfortunately we cannot send to local institutions or departments (e.g. immigration agents).
