We offer a wide range of courses from general English to academic preparation courses. Our in-house teachers are extremely well qualified and emphasise the importance of interactive communication to allow you to deal with situations in English in your daily and professional life.

How can I register?

If you are a new student you will need to take a placement test before enrolling in one of our courses. This involves a written test and a speaking test with one of our teachers. Following the test we will match your language needs and learning requirements to a suitable class.

Please note that the placement testing periods take place during the registration dates.

How much will the course cost?
Placement Test 10,000 FCFA
General Adult 130,000 FCFA
Summer class for Young Learners 65,000 FCFA
Books 10,000 FCFA
IELTS 10-hour Preparation course 30,000 FCFA
Study Zone/ Internet Access Free
How can I pay for my course?
Payments for courses should be made before the beginning of every quarter. You can pay directly in our centres in Yaoundé or Douala, either in cash or by cheque made out to the British Council. Once the payment is completed, we shall issue you a receipt itemizing the day and the hour of your lessons, your student's number and the name of your professor.
What courses can I take?
General Adult English 
10 weeks - 50 hours:
• 1h40 min classes, 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 
• 2h30 min classes, twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) 

Adult IELTS preparation 
2 days - 5 hours  per day

Summer class for Young Learners 
6 weeks - 30 hours (2h30 min, twice a week or 1h40 min, three times a week

What are the Course times?
Our Teaching Centre is opened from Monday to Friday (with lessons on Saturdays in Douala). Although the hours vary from quarter to quarter, according to request and availability of the professors, lessons are given at present according to the following timetable: 
Adults

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 0800 - 0940 and 1600 - 1740

Tuesday and Thursday: 0800 - 1030 and 1730- 2000

Corporate Clients Class times can be during normal office working hours or subject to negotiation, according to your requirements and trainer availability
