Welcome to our new look website

You may have noticed some changes to our website.

We are rolling out a new look and feel across all British Council websites and our britishcouncil.org home page and departmental pages, for example, English and Arts are the first to re-launch.

Why are we making these changes?

• The new site puts you at the centre of our content and design.
• We have improved the navigation so you can get to the content you need quickly.
• Our new design showcases some of the very best of British modern web design.
• As well as your desktop version, we now have a site designed specifically for your mobile device.
• We have introduced the concept of responsive design so our designs adapt our content to whichever device you are using to access British Council services; for example, tablets, phablets or desktop.
