BC Trading
BC Trading International Ltd (BC Trading) was incorporated on 5th April 2004 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Council. It is registered at Companies House under company registration no. 05093170.
The registered office of BC Trading is 10 Spring Gardens, London, SW1A 2BN. The directors and company secretary of BC Trading are all employees of the British Council. The auditors of BC Trading are the National Audit Office. The last available set of audited accounts are for the year ended 31st march 2008. See directors report (pdf 95kb).
Although BC Trading is wholly owned by the British Council, it operates on an arms length basis. It carries out a variety of non-primary purpose commercial activities, such as generating sponsorship income through British Council events. The profit from such activities is paid by gift aid to the British Council to fund its charitable activities.
