Claire Ighodaro CBE - Independent Director
Claire Ighodaro CBE is a Board member and Non-executive Director of Lloyd’s of London, the Lending Standards Board and the British Council. She is also a Council Member of the Open University. She is Chair of the Lloyd’s Audit Committee, the OU Audit Committee, the LSB Audit Committee and the British Council Audit Committee.
A past President of CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), Claire Ighodaro is the first woman to lead this organisation, which regulates and examines over 160,000 accountants and trainees in the UK and worldwide. She was a senior executive at BT plc, working in the UK and Germany and previously an independent director of BERR (now BIS) and UK Trade and Investment.
Claire is a mentor on both private sector and public sector programmes and is actively involved in charities supporting education and skills development. She is married with three daughters and was awarded a CBE, in 2008, for services to business.
