This year British Council supports the International Beat Film Festival of musical documentaries. The festival will take place in Moscow from 23rd to 30th May in “Gorizont” cinema (21/10, Komsomolsky prospect).
EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is delighted to present the Curatorial Exchange Programme 2012 for internship of young Russian curators in European museums and galleries. The British Council is proud to offer placements with two leading UK visual arts organisations – Liverpool Biennial and Modern Art Oxford. Deadline for applications - 31 May 2012.
Henry Moore and the classic canon of modern sculpture exhibition opens on the 22nd of February 2012 in the Kremlin museums . The exhibition will be open till 10 May 2012.
In the run-up to Henry Moore exhibition in the Moscow Kremlin Museums British Council and Moscow Kremlin Museums are delighted to announce the essay competition “ARTiculate!”, devoted to sculpture in contemporary urban spaces. The competition is designed for schools and university students and will be held from 1 November 2011 to 15 March 2012 .
Since September 2011 the British Council and Russian State Academic Youth Theatre present the performance ROCK’N’ROLL by the cult British playwright Sir Tom Stoppard! The play that was a success worldwide will be staged in Moscow for the first time. The music of Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Plastic People of the Universe will sound beside “the story of a private man, his love and freedom”. Details…
