New British Film Festival is a unique event in Russian cultural life which celebrates the best and brightest new work in contemporary British cinematography. This year Moscow hosts the 10th anniversary of the British Film Festival.

Films that are annually selected for the Festival’s programme have been honoured with the most prestigious cinematographic awards. Many of them were nominated for Oscars, won prizes at Berlin, Edinburgh and Cannes film festivals, and many others.

Four young British directors have tried to portray the look and feel of Moscow in their works, while their Russian colleagues have expressed their vision of London.
