International education helps us to build positive relationships with people around the world, share ideas and knowledge, and further our capacity for innovation and creativity.

The Prime Minister's Initiative for International Education, commonly referred to as PMI2, is a five year strategy to secure the UK’s position as a leader in international education.

The programme came to an official close in March 2011, but many activities are still going on. You can read a summary of how the programe performed here (2MB).You can also find out over the following pages about our work to:
