As the UK's international organisation for educational and cultural relations, British Council is able to create unparalleled opportunities in English language learning and cultural exchange. With some of the most highly qualified EFL teachers in Morocco, a wealth of resources and a variety of programmes to choose from, we are the organisation best placed to help you achieve your goals.
British Council teachers are trained to follow a communicative approach to language teaching and learning. This involves pair work, group work and project work, and promotes ‘learning through doing’.
Our aim is for every student to:
- communicate clearly and confidently in English
- think creatively and imaginatively
- succeed at school
- realise his/her potential in examinations
- be more independent in his/her learning
- enjoy his/her learning
As the UK’s principal cultural relations organisation, we are committed to equality of opportunity, to valuing and managing diversity and to taking positive action to promote these. The British Council recruit teachers on the basis of their competencies and not on their origin, nationality or gender. All our teachers of English are highly qualified.
We can offer you and your family a wide range of courses which will help you improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as your grammar.
Our teachers use modern methods and textbooks based on interesting topics as well as a range of computer and video based materials.
Our centre in Polo in Casablanca offers a computer room and self-access centre where you can borrow graded readers and videos, have access to ELT resources and information about study in the UK.
In Rabat we are closer to you the student. We teach in 3 partner premises around the city.
English language exams taken at British Council all focus on the learner's ability to communicate in English. These exams include the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Cambridge ESOL exams.
